WHAT IS ROCKNDOC?"At a young age I became interested in music, playing
French horn, then Baritone horn in school band. In the mid to late 60s I became interested in popular music, specifically
rock and roll. Some of my friends and I started playing guitars early in Junior High and eventually started forming bands
by grade 9 or 10. This passion for music continued on through college where I would "woodshed" or jam with roommates and friends
on weekends, playing anything from hard rock to jazz fusion music.
"Upon returning to Tacoma after dental school, I was
reunited with some of my musical friends from high school (the old days). Some of them had actually pursued careers as performing
musicians, but have now settled into more normal "day jobs."
"The last 15 years or so I’ve played in several different bands with different styles, but in the last five years, it’s been as a member of Eddie Gillan's Red Roosters. We’ve got a tried and true formula - give the people what they want! This consists of classic rock, funk, R&B, and originals that are danceable and recognizable songs. Eddie Gillan plays mostly local shows and clubs, such as the Tides Tavern, Temple Theater and the Swiss. From one of our shows at the Temple this year, A Tribute to Woodstock, Rockfest 1969, we were asked to perform at the revered Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco last June. This was a true musician’s journey to Mecca. What a blast!" For more info about the band, check out our website: www.eddiegillan.com. Hope to see you soon! ROCKNDOC For events and appearances:
